The True Story of Arthur the Stray
In 2014, Mikael Lindnord, the captain of a Swedish adventure racing team, was competing in a grueling 435-mile race through the Amazon jungle in Ecuador. During a rest stop, Mikael noticed a wounded, muddy stray dog staring at him. Out of pure compassion, Mikael threw the dog a single meatball.
That small act of kindness changed history. The dog, whom Mikael named "Arthur," refused to leave his side. Arthur followed the team through deep mud, rushing rivers, and extreme conditions for the rest of the race. Mikael couldn't leave him behind. He adopted Arthur, brought him back to Sweden, and gave him the loving home he always deserved.
